In order to be careful stewards of the library budget and to serve as many patrons as possible, the borrow limit for Hoopla items has changed to 4 borrows per month, as of January 1. Previously the limit was 5 borrows per month.
“The library has experienced a welcome growth in Hoopla usage in the past year,” explains Lillian Galloway, assistant director. “The Hoopla collection now also includes more new and popular items that have a higher cost per borrow. To keep our Hoopla service sustainable long-term, the library digital services team decided that lowering the number of borrows per month was the most prudent step.”
