Services
Computers with internet and office programs are available in the children’s area. Log in with a children’s/youth library card or ask for a guest pass from the Circulation Desk. The children’s room also has two AWE Early Literacy Station computers for children ages 2-8 and one AWE AfterSchool Edge computer for ages 8-12. These computers have built-in games, no internet necessary.
The library also has new Launchpad tablets by Playaway that can be used inside the library. These tablets are durable and come pre-loaded with games, so internet is not necessary and loading times are quick. The library has tablets from Playaway’s STEAM Academy and Reading Academy that cover a range of activities and ages, for different skill levels and learning areas.
Need help with homeschooling? Need some practice with school. Educate Station is a free service that provides lessons and worksheet to help in a variety of subject for grades pre-k to fifth. educatestation.com/access/silver-city-public-library-nm
