How to Sign Up for a COVID-19 Vaccine

If you have access to the internet, the fastest way to sign up to receive a COVID-19 vaccine is by going to cvvaccine.nmhealth.org . If you have family, friends, or neighbors who do not have internet, please offer to help sign them up.

People can also register by calling the state vaccine hotline at 1-855-600-3453, press option 0 for vaccine questions, and then option 4 for tech support.

If you have vaccine-related questions but do not need help registering, call 1-855-600-3453 and simply press option 0 for vaccine questions.

The Silver City office of the NM Department of Health will take your call at 575-538-5318. They can often set your appointment time as soon as they have registered you.

Another local phone number to call for help is 575-597-7029, where a staff person at the City Annex will answer. This is courtesy of the Silver City Fire Department. For support with vaccine registration or other needs (food, housing and utilities, support for quarantining, etc.) you can call this number or email grantcountynmcares@gmail.com.

Effective immediately, the New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) is offering COVID-19 vaccines to all veterans in New Mexico enrolled with the VA—regardless of age or chronic health complications. Any enrolled veteran is eligible to get the vaccine. You must register for an appointment with the NMVAHCS by calling (505) 265-1711 and using one of the following four extensions:

  • 3915
  • 3916
  • 2912
  • 2917

DVS strongly encourages all veterans to register for the vaccine. If you are not enrolled with VA health care, then please register for a COVID-19 vaccine with the New Mexico Department of Health at cvvaccine.nmhealth.org.
