The library keeps track of low-cost internet connection options. This post is periodically updated with new information we receive. Latest update: February 5, 2024
Low cost home internet:
- The Affordable Connectivity Program is ending. They will stop accepting new applications and enrollments on February 7, 2024. getinternet.gov / Programa de Descuentos para Internet: AccedeaInternet.gov
- Internet Essentials program for getting home internet: https://www.internetessentials.com/
- Lifeline program for internet discounts: https://www.lifelinesupport.org/ or https://getinternet.gov/apply?id=nv_home You can get your discount for internet service with a variety of internet companies.
Participants in the Internet Essentials program may qualify for a low-cost computer.

- Safelink Wireless – 1-800-244-1111
- Assurance Wireless – 1-800-395-2171
The library wi-fi is available inside and outside. To connect, find the wireless network name SCPLibrary. There is no password. You will need to click “Continue to Internet” on the “splash page” that pops up.
Adults who have had a library card for more than 6 weeks can borrow one of our wireless internet hotspots.
