Another Week of Summer

Another week of summer has gone by and we would like to reflect on what happened and what is going to happen soon.

Upcoming Events

Asombro Institute for Science Education will be coming here Friday, July 8th at 1 pm. We will be creating postcards about the desert we live in. Learn about our environment and have fun with a hands on project. Everyone, 18 and under, is invited.

Create some Octopus Slime, Tuesday, July 5th at 3:30pm. We are asking that people 12 and under come.

Next, we have water bottle creatures on Thursday, July 7th, at 3:30 pm. Come use old 12 oz bottles to create a creature of your very own. Everyone, 18 and under, is invited.

Past Events

On Monday, June 27th, Donna hosted the Little Artist’s Club. Kids, five and under, created little yellow submarines. They had a blast decorating and coloring their little subs while listening to the famous song.

Tuesday, June 28th, we created jelly fish lanterns. We had an assortment of bright colored lanterns. Teens and under got a paper lantern and decorated it with markers and tissue paper.

Thursday, we created lighthouses. Teens and under created lighthouses out of balsa wood, Popsicle sticks, glue and a electric candle light. We had big and small light houses created.

Finally, on Friday, July 1st, we had Explora! come down all the way from Albuquerque. There was an assortment of things to try from logic puzzles, to wind tunnels complete with scarfs and more, to water events to vision impairment goggles to blocks and more. Everyone 18 and under was invited. We had a great time, playing with all the different things.
