The Silver City Public Library expresses its gratitude to the Friends of the Library for their great support. Funding from the Friends makes all of our events possible, including our concert series, summer reading program, and in-person and virtual presentations and activities. For this year’s summer reading program, Friends funding that we would normally use to bring talented performers and educators to library events was redirected to purchase additional supplies for grab-and-go craft bags, print additional summer reading program bingo cards, and purchase additional prizes for everyone who participated in the program. Friends funding is also currently making Virtual Minecraft Club possible.
Friends of the Library funding also helps us to purchase items for the library collection, and obtain supplies.
The Friends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Friends raise funds through memberships and book sales. To get in touch with the Friends, email folsilvercitynm@gmail.com.
