Another summer is here and that means it time for summer reading. We have a bunch of activities and performers for you to enjoy. The NMSU Extension will be back this year with more crafts and lessons. This will be happening June 3 and 17 and July 1 and 15. The Silver City Fire Department will be playing video games with us on Saturday June 15, Wednesday, June 26, Wednesday July 10 and Saturday July 13. Smokey the Bear will stop by to talk about campfire safety on Thursday June 6. The Gypsy Carpenters will be making music on Friday, June 7. Officer Howdy and a couple others from the Silver City Police Department will be explaining a day in the life of an officer on June 13. Pint Size Polka will be entertaining you will song on June 14. The Southwest Woman’s Fiber Arts Collective will be doing a couple of workshops. On June 20, they will be painting bandanas and on June 27, they will be making puppets. Andy Mason will be here on June 25. We will have a magic show by Tall Paul Magic on June 21. Come dance with an interactive Wild Irish Fiddle on June 28. The Silver City Museum will be putting on puppets on Saturday, July 6. The Lotus Center’s Hana Rose will be teaching beginning yoga at Gough Park on July 11. Come on a virtual tour of national parks on July 18. On July 19, Game and Fish will come out to talk to you about what they do. Finally, Silver City’s Rolling Stones will be doing an activity where you id rocks and do some painting.

There will be crafts on Tuesdays like a bubblepalooza and making strawberry boba tea. And movies on every other Monday starting on June 10 with popcorn.

Baby time will be on Tuesdays at 10am and story time will continue on Wednesdays at 10am.

End of the summer party will be July 27. Come hang out in foam with Ann Lincoln. Plus there will be prizes to give out. We want to thank you for a wonderful summer. The event will be at Penny Park.
