The public library’s Arcade days for teens are so successful that staff decided it’s time to offer a gaming day for adults. Monday, April 1, from 3-5:30 pm adults will be able to enjoy free access to popular games such as Minecraft and a variety of other console games, as well as classic board games such as Monopoly, Jenga, Sorry, Battleship and chess. Players are also welcome to bring their favorite game to play with others.
The event is free, and no registration is necessary. Just bring your friends and enjoy an afternoon of games and fun at the Silver City Public Library, located at 515 W. College Avenue.
“The library is more than a great place to find information and accomplish tasks on the computers, it is also a place for connecting with others,” said Lillian Galloway, programming and outreach librarian. “We’ve heard from adults in the community who want to socialize and have fun playing games just as the teenagers have, and we listened.”
