The Silver City Public Library will host a book talk and signing with W.L. Jardine for her new historical fiction novel Beyond Bedrock on Friday, August 18, 3:00pm.
The book is a new western novel with a unique female focus. The Old West is a harsh place for women, even under the best of circumstances. But when Jenny, Belle, and Beatrice find themselves fighting desperate situations beyond their control, they show a caliber of strength that only the worst of times can bring out.
W.L. Jardine grew up in California, Idaho and Washington states. After college she taught Industrial Arts, specializing in stained glass and metal arts, and Special Education at the high school level. Over the years she has done a lot of volunteer work, including CASA, American Red Cross and local libraries. She and her husband have two children and one granddaughter. Jardine is a seasoned sojourner interested in different cultures. She and her husband spent nineteen months in the Philippines, on a mission for their church. In addition Jardine has traveled to China, Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Mexico, Belize, Canada and Malaysia. Jardine resides with her husband, two donkeys, numerous lizards and an amazing variety of birds in Arizona.
