The Silver City Public Library is pleased to be collaborating with the CLAY Festival again this year to host free CLAYplay workshops for children in grades 3-6. The workshops will be Tuesday, July 25, Wednesday, July 26, and Thursday, July 27, 2:00-3:30pm. Zoe Wolfe will be the instructor. In keeping with the farm-to-table theme of Clay Festival and with inspiration from the book The Moon Was at a Fiesta, this year’s CLAYPlay will focus on the “three sisters”: squash, corn, and beans. All the work will be fired and put on display at the public library where it was constructed, then returned to participants. Children will be able to keep a copy of The Moon Was at a Fiesta! This event is for children in 3rd-6th grade. FREE, 15 participant maximum. Pre-registration not required; please come 30 minutes before start of program for admission ticket. CLAYPlay will also take place at the Bayard Public Library and the Gila Valley Public Library. The Silver City Public Library is located at 515 W. College Avenue at the corner of College adn Cooper Street in Silver City. Contact the library at 575-538-3672 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
