We have an exciting week of activities lined up for summer reading! Join us for the following special events:

Tuesday, June 21, 10:30am: Storytime and a simple craft, ages 0-5

Wednesday, June 22, 10:30am: Diana Molina presents Raramuri: The Foot Runners of the Sierra Madre! Sponsored by the NM Humanities Council and NM Department of Cultural Affairs. Raramuri, Uto-Aztecan for Tarahumara, are among the world’s best runners from lives spent traversing the canyon walls and plateaus of the Sierra Madre Occidental in northern Mexico. This presentation is best suited for ages 6 and up.

Wednesday, June 22, 4:00pm: Little Engineers (Lego and more!) (ages 6-12)

Thursday, June 23, 10:30am: Ideas for Cooking and Nutrition (ICAN) “Pick a Better Snack”  The Cooperative Extension Service will lead an interactive presentation about healthy snacking.  This activity is geared towards ages 6-12.

Friday, June 24, 2:00pm: WildWorks Youth Entrepreneurship Showcase presented by the Grant County Youth Business Incubator Program. Participants from the Grant County Youth Business Incubator program will show some of the products they have developed and share how they developed their business plans. (FYI, one of the businesses involves smoothies, and we hear that there will be samples…) Come share your business ideas, gain insights, and support each other in pursuing your goals! (ages 10+)
