Local Day of Giving May 14

“Give Grandly!” is a Local Day of Giving to benefit 47 nonprofits in Grant and Luna Counties in southwest New Mexico. The event is coordinated by the Grant County Community Foundation. Two foundations will be matching contributions made that day.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 14, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM on 7th Street between Cafe Un Mundo and the Market Cafe on Bullard Street. This will run concurrently with the Opening Day of the Farmers Market. There will be music, food, and an artisan market as well.

During the 24 hours of giving on Saturday, May 14 there are three ways that you can make your donations.

  • Stop by the Silver City Farmers Market on Saturday, May 14 from 8:30 to 2:30, visit with the nonprofits, and donate with cash or a check.
  • TEXT to: 41444 and type in “grandly”. Click on the link and make your donation.
  • Go to www.grantcountycommunityfoundation.org/give-grandly.html. Select a nonprofit and make your donation. You can give online from anywhere but the opportunity will only be available from 12:00am to 11:59pm MDT on May 14.2016GiveGrandly

The Friends of the Silver City Public Library is participating in Give Grandly. Library activities for all ages including summer reading, WildWorks youth hangout, Lego Club, and concert series are all made possible by funding from the Friends.
