The Friends of the Silver City Public Library is having its Summer Book Sale on Saturday, May 7, 10:00am-2:00pm. The Friends bookstore is located at 1510 Market Street in Silver City. This is a great opportunity to stock up on low-cost books and media, including
- Large selection of mysteries, histories, fiction and non-fiction
- Lots of books on Native Americans – from the Cheyenne to the Navajos
- Plenty of Craft, Garden and Cookbooks
- Interesting selection of DVDs
- and more!
Hardbacks and better-quality paperbacks are $1, and regular paperbacks are 50 cents. The books outside are $1 a bag except between 1 and 2 p.m. when the outside books are free! All proceeds go to support the Silver City Public Library. The Friends of the Library provide funding for library supplies, collections, and especially activities, including concert series, the summer reading program for all ages, educational presentations, and technology and do-it-yourself activities for tweens and teens.
