Library Spring Concert Series: Johanna & Scott Hongell-Darsee

Johanna & Scott Hongell-Darsee present ballads and songs from Scandinavia, the British Isles, France, the U.S., and India together with the stories behind these songs that have wandered through centuries and over continents. They have traveled far and wide to find the most beautiful, enthralling and mysterious songs, melodies and stories to take you away on a journey to far away islands, deep forests and magical gardens. Scott Darsee and Johanna Hongell-Darsee perform at festivals, theaters and universities throughout the USA. A performing artist for over 30 years, Johanna (Finland) studied in France (theater) and India (dance). Scott (USA) composes innovative arrangements on string instruments. This program is made possible by the New Mexico Humanities Council and the NM Department of Cultural Affairs.
This event is free and open to the public. Doors open 30 minutes before performance time. Space is limited and will be on a first come, first seated basis. The library concert series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. For more information call: 575-538-3672.
