More Technology Learning for March

So far this month there have been two study labs with Literacy Link-Leamos and an open lab for troubleshooting with librarians and helpers. There are a lot more opportunities for learning coming up! Everything is listed on the Technology Training page. Here is the schedule for the remainder of March:

Math Lab and Self-study Lab- presented by Literacy Link-Leamos
Work on self-paced tutorials and practice computer skills. Study for the GED, work on math homework, or learn how to use email, Facebook, internet, or word processing. One LLL tutor will be available to help for both labs. For details call Literacy Link-Leamos at 388-0892. Basic Computer Skills Series March 18-April 10 – presented by WNMU Adult Education Services
Covers computer hardware basics, computer operation basics, internet and emailing, and Microsoft Office basics.
Wednesdays and Fridays, 2:00-4:00pm
Register at the first class session or call Adult Education Services at 574-5101 to register beforehand.

Computer Maintenance and Security Class – presented by Silver City Public Library librarian
Learn simple techniques for maintaining your computer and protecting it from security threats.

Microsoft Excel Basics Class – presented by Silver City Public Library librarian

Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint—presented by volunteer project partner
Learn how Microsoft PowerPoint can be used in work and business. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Word is recommended. For the well-being of the presenter, please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne.
